Bowling Green, KY – The Mid-South Conference announced the women's volleyball Academic All Mid-South Conference team this morning. The members of the Champions of Character team were also announced yesterday.
In order to be nominated for Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must be in their third term or fourth quarter. Coaches nominate for the Champions of Character team based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA.
The Bears had five student-athletes named to the team. These athletes are
Mikela Cook, Hannah Dempsey, Erin Ende, Oksana Vucetic, and Kiara Warrens.
Megan Frazier was named to the Champions of Character team yesterday. This is the second Academic All-Conference honor for Cook, Dempsey, and Ende while it is the first for Vucetic and Warrens. It is also Frazier's first Champions of Character team honor.
The Bears return to the court Thursday morning in Bowling Green, KY when they play in the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament against Cumberland University at 11:00 a.m.
