PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The University of Pikeville and Kentucky Christian University battled to a 1-1 tie on Tuesday night in the opening match of a doubleheader between the schools.
Both teams scored in the first half. UPike hit the scoreboard first on a goal by sophomore
Jessica Jude. It was her second goal of the season and came on an assist by freshman
Kayla Robertson with only 12:31 off the first-half clock.
The lead was short-lived, however, as freshman Ruth Bondurant scored an unassisted goal at 26:56 to tie the game.

Chelsea Schulte recorded eight saves in goal, while Knight senior Stephanie Kenley had 10 of her own.
Pikeville had 20 shots compared to 11 for KCU. The Bears will return to the pitch on Friday night, hosting Georgetown College in a Mid-South Conference match at 8 p.m.
