PIKEVILLE, Ky. – For the second straight game, a late goal cost the University of Pikeville a Mid-South Conference decision, this time to Campbellsville University by a 1-0 final at Bob Amos Park.
Campbellsville (3-4-1) improved to 1-1 in the league with the win, while Pikeville fell to 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
With the game tied down the stretch, the Tigers Cassie Yannelli, a 5-3 senior midfielder from Lexington, scored off a pass from junior forward Jessica Ralph at the 85:39 mark for what proved to be the only goal of the contest.
Pikeville managed five shots on goal in the loss, all of them turned away by junior keeper Brandi Hagerman. Freshmen
Carmen Koster and Elisha Lee had two apiece while senior
Kara Henning had one.

Chelsea Schulte turned away nine of the 10 Campbellsville shots on goal, including seven after intermission.
Coach
Gary Warford's team has now played five games this season, with all of them finishing as shutouts. After blanking Bryan (Tenn.) and West Liberty State (W.Va.), the Bears have been held scoreless three times – by Covenant (Ga.), Georgetown and now Campbellsville – by a total of four goals.
The Bears will return to action on Tuesday afternoon at Bob Amos Park, hosting Bob Jones University at 3 p.m.
