ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Neither team could buy a goal for the first 45 minutes, then the University of Pikeville's
Eleanor Hollingsworth changed that in the 46th minute to help the Bears top Warren Wilson (N.C.) 1-0 on Thursday.

For Hollingsworth, the game-winner was her first goal of the season on just her fifth shot.
Right out of the gate in the second half UPIKE moved the ball down the right side of the field. On the third pass,
Makayla Mendoza issued a high ball that the Warren Wilson defender narrowly missed, giving Hollingsworth the clean breakaway to scoot the ball past the outstretched keeper.
Pikeville improves to 7-7-1 overall, while the Owls drop to 4-10. The Bears have a short break as they travel to Georgetown (Ky.) at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday night in a pivotal Mid-South Conference matchup.
