PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- The sixth-seeded University of Pikeville women's soccer team is back in the Mid-South Conference Championship for the first time since 2011, taking on No. 3-seed Campbellsville at 6 p.m. ET on Friday in first-round action at Finley Stadium.

Friday's winner advances to the semifinals at 3 p.m. ET next Thursday in Campbellsville against either No. 2-seed Cumberland (Tenn.) or No. 7-seed St. Catharine.
In the regular-season meeting with the Tigers, UPIKE lost 5-0 on Oct. 16 in a game moved to Shelby Valley High School. Bear goalkeeper Chelsea Schulte collected 10 saves, but Mhairi Fyfe tallied a game-high two goals as the Tigers outshot the Bears 23-2 overall.
Campbellsville (12-6, 5-2 MSC) enters Friday on a seven-game winning streak, including a 9-0 rout of Cumberlands on Saturday and three other MSC shutouts (UPIKE 5-0, Shawnee State (Ohio) 5-0, St. Catharine 7-0). Fyfe was a force for the Tigers all season, tallying a single-season, program-record 20 goals and seven assists for 47 total points.
UPIKE (8-8, 2-5) has won the most games since 2008 already, but has lost five straight, last winning on Oct. 13 3-2 at West Virginia Tech. The Bears haven't won a conference game since topping Cumberlands 3-2 on Sept. 27. In the last five games, UPIKE has been outscored 22-1.
Kaitlyn Abdon is UPIKE's leader with 12 goals, while three players are tied as the leading distributors with two assists each (Abdon, Jasmine Davis, Olivia Gipson).
