Women’s Soccer Stays Undefeated with 3-1 Win at Cincinnati Christian

CINCINNATI - It'd been 10 days since its last game, but the University of Pikeville women's soccer team didn't have to shake off much rust as it went on the road to top Cincinnati Christian 3-1 on Tuesday night.

With the win, the Bears move to 3-0 on the season, their best start in at least 10 seasons dating back to when records were kept in 2004.

UPIKE goalkeeper Chelsea Schulte was on her way to a third straight shutout as well, but the Eagles were awarded a penalty kick in the 88th minute for their lone goal of the contest.

Prior to that the Bears had gotten goals from Kaitlyn Abdon, Olivia Gipson and Jasmine Davis. Abdon also dished out an assist, along with Jocelyn David and Kayla Robertson.

Complete stats were not immediately available following the game.
