Box Score DAYTON, Tenn. – Chelsea Schulte hasn't given up a goal through two games, helping her University of Pikeville women's soccer team stay unbeaten with a 2-0 win at Bryan on Saturday.
The shutout performance was the result of five saves by Schulte, allowing goals from
Kaitlyn Abdon and
Olivia Gipson to prove the difference.
Gipson struck first in the 22nd minute for the game winner, while Abdon added the insurance score three minutes later. It was the second goal of the season for Gipson after also scoring in the season-opening 3-0 win at Berea (Ky.).
Abdon fired a team-high three shots with two on goal, but the Bears were outshot as a team 11-8 overall and 7-4 on target. Fouls were nearly even with Bryan leading 7-6,
