LEXINGTON, Ky. – Canfield, Ohio native Andrew Letscher continued his decorated initial collegiate campaign by being named the NAIA Men's Bowling Rookie of the Year at the annual awards banquet on Friday.
Letscher had already been named the Mid-South Conference's top freshman, but now he takes that same recognition to the national stage.
Not only did Letscher grab the individual major award, he was also selected as an NAIA First Team All-American.
UPIKE qualified fourth of 20 at the NAIA Invitational Team Championships on Friday afternoon and will receive a first-round bye in Saturday and Sunday's match-play bracket.
The Bears start their run towards a national title at 9:30 a.m. ET on Saturday at Eastland Lanes in Lexington.
