Bowling Green, KY – UPIKE men's golfer Blake Maupin adds Mid-South Conference Golfer of the Week to his list of achievements this season following a tournament title last week at the GC Fall Invitational.

The weekly honor is the first for Maupin this season and the second of his career, the first coming in November of the 2019 campaign.

The Richmond, KY native earned his first career tournament title at Cherry Blossom CC last week, shooting a season-best 141 (-3) in the 36-hole event. Maupin carded a 70 (-2) in the first round which landed him at third headed into the second round. The second round saw Maupin pull past the competition with a 71(-1) to win the tournament.

Maupin defeated the two golfers tied for second by three strokes and the Bears took second in the final standings, shooting a program record 287 in the second round.

The Bears are currently competing in round one of the Roger Merb Invitational today and will wrap up with round two tomorrow.
