Pikeville, KY – The University of Pikeville women's soccer team dropped a home game to the visiting Cumberland University Phoenix Friday afternoon, 10-0. UPIKE fell behind 3-0 within the first 25 minutes of the contest, as the Cumberland offense was relentless.
Elizabeth Lukens made a season-high 15 saves for the Bears in the game. UPIKE took five shots in the game, with all but one coming in the first half.
Isabella Caldwell led the way with two shots on goal for the Bears while
Lillie Kluesner and
Ellie Webb also put a shot on frame for UPIKE.
What's Up Next
After the loss, the Bears fall to 3-7 on the season and 0-5 in the Mid-South Conference. They will be right back on the field Sunday afternoon when they host the Tennessee Southern Firehawks in MSC action at 1:00 p.m.
