Pikeville, Ky. – UPIKE women's soccer celebrated senior day Saturday afternoon, before falling 2-0 to Lindsey Wilson. The Bears honored graduating members,
Cacia Larsen,
Jada Rice,
Jayce Buchner,
Emily Webb,
Amya Webb,
Elizabeth Lukens,
Kylie Maynard, and
Maria Rojas.
The Bears sent 13 shots, the teams' most since a win over Midway on August 31
st. Seven were fired on frame, by way of
Carley Groh,
Brekel Tibbs,
Alix Herter,
Kylie Maynard, and
Amya Webb.
Per usual, keepers Lukens and
Millicent Conod split time defending the net for UPIKE. Lukens finished with six saves throughout the first half while Conod warded off eight challenges from the Blue Raiders.
UPIKE's defense was stellar, holding the Blue Raiders scoreless for the first 37 minutes before Lindsey legged their first goal at the 37:43 mark to take a 1-0 lead into the break.
Lindsey fired two shots to open the second half, before Herter fired another chance which was saved by the keep. Lindsey netted their second goal at the 59:43 mark. Groh led the upfield attack for
UPIKE, recording a pair of shots just minutes later but the Bears were held scoreless.

Lillie Kluesner followed up with a header that went wide minutes later. In the last 10 minutes, UPIKE managed five shots but couldn't connect.

nd as they head to Crestview Hills for a 1:00 PM matchup with Thomas More.
