Kansas City, Mo. - Earlier this afternoon, the NAIA announced the 2022 Daktronics NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar-Athletes. The University of Pikeville women's soccer team was well represented with 12 student-athletes receiving this honor.
A student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must be on the eligibility certificate for the sport and must have attended their institution for one full year to be nominated for this award. The 2022 Daktronics NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar Athlete honorees for University of Pikeville women's soccer are Sophie Kluesner, Catie Bacon, Riley Collett, Kylie Gollihue, Alix Herter, Lillie Kluesner, Elizabeth Lukens, Kylie Maynard, Jada Rice, Diana Sibrian, Ellie Webb and Emily Webb.
Lukens, Maynard, Rice and Emily Webb received this honor for the second time while Bacon, Collet, Gollihue, Herter, Sibrian, Ellie Webb, Sophie Kluesner and Lillie Kluesner were all first-time honorees. Today's announcement sets a record for the most NAIA Scholar Athletes in UPIKE women's soccer program history.
