Prestonsburg, Ky. – The UPIKE Men's Golf team, led by sophomore
Nate Feese, finished second out of eleven teams at the Alice Lloyd College Eagle Invitational at StoneCrest Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Bears followed up a strong opening-tournament showing at the Battle of Chariot Run with another strong performance today and yesterday, shooting 585 (+9) as a team. UPIKE finished comfortably in second place, having taken 12 fewer strokes than the third-place team.

Blake Maupin led the Bears and finished second and third overall, respectively. They were given all-tournament distinctions for their excellent performances.
Feese shot a career-best 69 (-3) on day 1 and finished the tournament at (-3). Feese's previous best was a 76 (+4) at last year's ALC Invitational. Maupin tied his career-best with an even finish on day 1 then a 70 (-2) to cap off day 2. Maupin also finished this tournament having taken nine fewer strokes than he took at the last tournament.
UPIKE will tee-off again next Monday and Tuesday in Daniels, West Virginia for the Golden Bear Classic at the Glades Spring Resort.
