Mayberry Earns First Career MSC Men's Bowler of the Week Honor

Bowling Green, Ky. – Men's bowling freshman Eli Mayberry has been named Mid-South Conference Men's Bowler of the Week following his tournament win at the Thomas N. Burris Invitational.

Mayberry managed the best performance of his career in Sunday's action, placing first of 245 bowlers. The Mechanicsburg, Ohio native totaled 1258 pins on his way to the individual title, averaging 251.6 pins per match. His 289-pin total in game five was the second-highest single game score in the tournament.

On Saturday at the Lynne Jordan Memorial, Mayberry totaled 1,117 pins to finish sixth overall.

His inaugural season has seen Mayberry establish himself as a critical part of the Bears starting lineup. He currently ranks second on the team with an average of 217.116 pins per game. He has finished in the top-25 in five of nine tournaments, and top-five in two. In the national overall individual rankings, Mayberry is currently the 11th best men's bowler in the country.
