Columbia, Ky. - The Bears opened their spring 2023 schedule with a fifth place finish in the Blue Raider Invitational. 

UPIKE had two top-20 finishers with senior Blake Maupin and sophomore Joshua Wiese. Maupin tied for ninth while Wiese tied for fifteenth overall. Maupin clubbed a -2 on day one after birdies on 2,6, 8, and 14. On day two, Maupin birdied on 12 and 18 en route to a -1 finish. 

Joshua Wiese's performance was highlighted by three birdies on par fives. Wiese opened day one with a birdie on 4, which was 533 yards. One day two, Wiese birdied on 1 and 12 which were 534 yards and 546 yards, respectively.

Next up for Coach Reinstetle's team is the Klash In KY tournament at Perry Park Golf Course in Owenton, Ky.
