KANSAS CITY – The NAIA has announced its honorees for the 2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Men's Golf Scholar-Athletes, and two University of Pikeville players are included.
 
The 2024 list features 380 student-athletes and 125 schools who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution.
 
To be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must:
 

• Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
• Appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and,
• Have attended one full year at the institution

 
The players from UPike who have achieved the honor are:
 

• Nate Feese, a senior from Richmond, Ky., and,
• Saul Crist, a sophomore from St. Clairsville, Ohio

 
The UPike men's golf team won two tournaments during the 2023-24 academic season and completed the year with an eighth-place finish in the 13-team 2024 AAC conference championship.
