NEW ORLEANS, La. - The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the Men's and Women's Cross Country Academic Teams for 2024, and both UPIKE teams were honored for their performances in the classroom.  

To qualify for this honor, teams must have an average cumulative grade point average above 3.0 on a 4.0, including the most recent grading period. The men's cross-country team had a 3.33 team GPA, while the women's cross-country team had a 3.42.  

The announcement from the USTFCCCA also comes after Syrus Ramsey, Abigail Meyer, Alexa Muha, and Olivia Ross earned NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete honors last fall.
