FOLEY, Ala. - University of Pikeville archery competed in the 2025 HotelPlanner USA Archery Collegiate 3D Nationals this weekend.
In the ranking round, senior Olivia Hale came in fourth place after shooting a 404 in the women's recurve. In the men's fixed pins, Nate Harper came in fifth after recording 18 12s and finishing with a score of 430.
UPike had a pair of fourth-placed finishes in the mixed team rounds. The mixed recurve team of Jack DiNapoli and Olivia Hale shot a 796, the highest of any Mid-South Conference teams in that event. In the mixed fixed pins, Nate Harper and Emma Willis shot an 824.
The Bears had one gold medal and two more final round appearances in the official team round. Nate Harper, Sam Garey, and Caden Jones took gold in the men's fixed pins with a 91-89 win in the finals over Rend Lake College. In the men's recurve, Jack DiNapoli, Kole Whalen, and Rylan Brooks took fourth. The team of Emma Willis, Cassie Haldeman, and Dana Wright also took fourth in the women's fixed pins.
The mixed equipment team of Nate Harper, Anna Shearier, and Olivia Hale earned a silver medal. UPike's mixed equipment team finished fifth in qualifying but went on a run, defeating the No. 4 seed then knocking off top-seeded Rio Grande by one point in the semifinal.
As a team, UPike scored 11.0 team points in the individual round, 25.0 in the official team round, and 20.0 in the mixed team round for a total team score of 56.0 points. The Bears' perfromance placed them tied with Muskingum University for sixth place in a field of 36 teams. UPike finished third among Mid-South Conference teams at the event.
