STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - UPIKE men's bowling was eliminated by No. 5 Milligan in round five of the 2025 NAIA Men's Bowling National Championship Friday.
Game 1: UPIKE 288, Milligan 214
The Bears struck one their first ten throws and coasted to a 288-214 victory in game one.
Game 2: UPIKE 162, Milligan 155
UPIKE only struck three times and left three frames open. Their opponents, the Milligan Buffaloes, left three open as well and only struck once. The Bears prevailed in the low-scoring affair.
Game 3: Milligan 235, UPIKE 212
The Buffaloes got back in the series after outlasting the Bears in the last five frames.
Game 4: Milligan 233, UPIKE 222
The Bears struck nine times in game four but left frames two and nine open. The Buffaloes took advantage and tied the series at 2-2.
Game 5: Milligan 215, UPIKE 176
The Bears left three frames open in game five and the Buffaloes struck three times from frames eight through ten.
Game 6: Milligan 246, UPIKE 216
Facing elimination, the Bears struck on the first three frames but struck just twice after. The Buffaloes struck eight times and took game six and took the series 4-2.
Men's bowling will return to the lanes in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 14th-19th for the USBC ITC.
