SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of Pikeville bass fishing team was featured by the Association of Collegiate Anglers when they released their 2025-26 preseason poll for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.  

The Association of Collegiate Anglers' poll is based on voting contributions from top coaches, media members, schools, and fishing industry personalities who all have experience in collegiate fishing.  

In only their second year as a program, the UPike bass fishing team is ranked No. 24 in the 2025-26 preseason poll. The ranking comes after the bass fishing Bears came in 32nd place at the 2025 Strike King Bassmaster College National Championship and finished the 2024-25 season ranked No. 38.
