YPSILANTI, Mich. – The University of Pikeville wrapped up play in the 2026 NAIA women's golf national championship on Friday afternoon. It was the school's first national tournament appearance in golf.

The Bears were 34-over par on the par-72, 5,895-yard Eagle Crest Golf Club, the host of the tournament for the second straight year.

For the tournament, UPike finished 54 holes at 93-over par. That was good enough for a 12-place finish in the 30-team field. The Bears entered play Friday tied for 15
th.

Senior
Renee Crooks and graduate student
Lauren Holmes led the Bears on Friday with 7-over par 79s.

Crooks, who recorded a birdie on the par-4, 325-yard 15
th hole, led UPike with a three-round score of 12-over par.

Holmes bounced back from a tough Thursday that saw her shoot 84 to shoot five strokes better on Friday. The Lawrenceburg, Ky., native recorded a birdie on the 7
th hole, a 346-yard, par-4.

She finished the national tournament at 26-over par, trailing only
Renee Crooks on the team leaderboard.

Tayla Howroyd, a junior from Edenvale, South Africa, followed at eight-over par on Friday. She finished the tournament 29-over par.

Senior
Carly Crooks followed with a final-round 12-over par. She was 34-over for the tournament. Freshman
Keira Howroyd was 19-over on Friday despite being the only Bear with multiple birdies. She was 37-over for the championship.
