Dan White is in his fourth year at UPIKE, currently serving as Assistant Athletic Director and Sports Information Director.
White joined the UPIKE staff in July of 2013, after four years as the Asst. SID at Lindsey Wilson College. Prior to his tenure at LWC, white spent one year as a communications assistant with the BIG EAST Conference and three years as an undergraduate assistant at the University of Louisville, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sports administration in 2007.
At Lindsey Wilson, White covered three NAIA Soccer National Championships, served as media coordinator for multiple conference championships and helped create the department’s social media and video platforms.
With the BIG EAST, White was the primary contact for numerous Olympic sports, as well as a tertiary contact for men's basketball, assisting with the league's basketball tournament at Madison Square Garden.
As an undergraduate at Louisville, White wrote for UofLSports.com and travelled to select championships, including a postseason run with men's soccer to Storrs, Conn., and Columbus, Ohio. White also assisted with men’s basketball press conferences and postgame interviews.
White holds a wealth of volunteer experience in media relations, including statistics services for the NBA’s Boston Celtics, MLS’ New England Revolution, men’s and women’s basketball game-day assistant at Providence College and utility work for ESPN college baseball and basketball coverage.
White, who grew up in Lawrenceburg, Ky., resides in Pikeville, Ky.
