Allan Holland is in his eleventh season at UPIKE and seventh as the head football coach making him the longest tenured head coach in the 20-year history of the program and the program's all-time wins leader. In Holland’s six years as Head Coach, his teams have produced one All-American, 43 All-Conference Players, 44 Academic All-Conference, nine NAIA Scholar Athletes, four MSC Champions of Character award winners and MSC Coach of the Year in 2016. Since Holland took over as Offensive Coordinator in 2010, he has utilized a wide-open, spread offense which has rewritten a majority of the record books at UPIKE.
The 2019 season the Bears faced their toughest schedule in program history facing seven of the ten opponents ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA top 25 polls and faced off with a FCS opponent on the road.  The Bears held their own by finishing 4-3 in the MSC Bluegrass division with a 3rd place finish.  Five athletes were placed on the All-MSC Bluegrass team, another sixteen on the Academic All-MSC team, one named MSC Champions of Character Winner and twenty-one graduating seniors.
Holland’s third season at the helm brought history to the program as a 5-1 finish in the MSC East Division gave the Bears a share of their first conference championship. UPIKE earned the co-title with Georgetown after beating the Tigers for the first time in program history on a last-second field goal in the season finale.  Known for a high-powered offense, UPIKE took a more defensive approach in 2016 to obtain the league championship, including the nation’s second-best pass defense, allowing just 133.7 yards per game through the air. As a total defense, the Bears ranked 26th in the NAIA at 349 yards allowed per contest.
In his first season at the helm, Holland led the Bears to a 4-2, third-place finish in the MSC East. UPIKE went 5-6 overall in 2014, including wins in the final three games of the season.
The Perry County Central graduate won two Ohio Valley Conference Championships as the quarterback at Eastern Kentucky University in 2007 and 2008 and earned OVC Player of the Year honors in 2007. Holland transferred to EKU after starting his collegiate career at Wake Forest from 2004 to 2006. Holland also played quarterback in the UIFL Arena Football League in 2011 and 2012.
After graduating from EKU with a degree in physical education, Holland became the offensive graduate assistant / quarterback coach for the Colonels.  Holland also holds a master’s degree in sports administration. Holland coached T. J. Pryor, who became OVC Freshman of the Year in 2009 who later went on to play in the Italian Football League and winning an Italian Super Bowl.
Holland resides in Pikeville with his wife Ashley, and daughter Ali Noel.
