CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Rinata Aisena and Giselle Hernandez tallied 16 and 11 kills, respectively, to help Campbellsville (Ky.) shut out the University of Pikeville volleyball team 3-0 on Saturday at the Powell Athletic Center.
UPIKE was led by
Sydney Hall with five kills on a day that the offense managed to hit just -.086 for the match. The Tigers finished with a .418 mark after the duo of Aisena and Hernandez both finished with hitting percentages of .500 or better.

Dominique Melvin matched her Campbellsville counterpart with a match-high 10 digs and
Haley Esquivel,
Sydney Morris and
Chelsea Staples all finished with a block for the Bears.
Hall and Melvin sent over UPIKE's only service aces, while the Tigers finished with six as a team, led by Krista Mihelson's four.
Morris also dished out 12 assists and found six digs for the Bears.
Other UPIKE kills came from Esquivel with three, Staples with two and Morris and
Audri Ray with one each.
UPIKE had its best showing in the first set, hitting .051 as a team before falling 25-19. Things got tougher in the second frame with a 25-7 loss, followed by a 25-16 third set to close the match.
The Bears drop to an even 13-13 overall and 2-9 in the Mid-South Conference, while Campbellsville improves to 15-4 and 9-2 in league play.
Pikeville returns to the court at 7 p.m. ET on Monday, hosting Rio Grande (Ohio) at the UPIKE Gym.Â
