PIKEVILLE, Ky. –The University of Pikeville volleyball team will try to do something that hasn't been done all season on Monday, send No. 13 Lindsey Wilson back with a loss at 7 p.m. ET at the UPIKE Gym.

The Blue Raiders have been perfect through 15 matches, including a 6-0 mark against Mid-South Conference competition. Lindsey Wilson has been so good that 10 of the wins have come by 3-0 scores, including seven of the last eight.

Lindsey Wilson ranks fourth in the nation in hitting percentage (.286) and 10th in blocks per set at 2.5. Senior Kailey Moorehead is the leading attacker, coming into the match with a .417 hitting percentage.

Pikeville is coming off a weekend trip to Berea, Ky., where it went 3-1 in the Spoonbread Smash. The Bears are over .500 at 8-7 overall and have played well in MSC matches, including a five-set win over Cumberlands (Ky.).

To be in the match against the Blue Raiders, UPIKE will have to be stellar on defense. Pikeville is a strong blocking team, ranking 36th nationally with 2.1 blocks per set. Chelsea Staples leads the unit at the net with 49 total blocks, while libero Dominique Melvin, an all-tournament team selection t Berea, is the team leader with 179 digs.

Lindsey Wilson, which is expected to jump into the top-10 of the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 Poll for the first time on Tuesday, is 9-0 all-time against UPIKE since records kept in the 2007 season.
