PIKEVILLE, Ky. – A cancelation on Saturday due to severe weather has brought the Mid-South Conference basketball doubleheader between the University of Pikeville and Shawnee State (Ohio) to Monday night at the East Ky. Expo Center.

The rescheduled games begin at 6 p.m. ET with the women, followed by the men's matchup at 8 p.m. Both games are being streamed  by Pike TV with live stats also available.

The Bears from Portsmouth, Ohio enter the games with a 9-10 overall record and 2-6 mark in MSC play on the women's side, while their men are 8-11 and 2-6 in league games. They are both coming off losses at Bluefield (Va.) last Thursday.

The Bears from Pikeville, Ky., are both playing their best basketball of the season.

Junior transfers Khalilah Quigley and Lakeria Crowder became eligible for UPIKE after Christmas and have bolstered the team's offense immediately. In a high-scoring 100-97 win against Rio Grande (Ohio) on Thursday, Quigley tallied a game-high 22 points and Crowder led the Bears with three assists.

The Pikeville men were pitted against Rio Grande with sole possession of first place in the MSC standings on the line and UPIKE left little doubt after the outcome. Leading by nearly 30 points in the second half before sending the starters to the bench, the Bears were in control the entire half after going on a 14-5 run just before halftime.
