Volleyball Falls in Four to Berea on Senior Night

PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- All four sets were extremely close, but in the end, Berea came out on top of the University of Pikeville volleyball team 3-1 on senior night with sets of 25-23, 23-25, 25-20 and 25-22 on Thursday at UPIKE Gym.

The match was the final tune up for the Bears before they head off to the Mid-South Conference Championship on Friday in Campbellsville, Ky. No. 7-seed UPIKE is scheduled to take on No. 2-seed Georgetown at the Powell Athletic Center.

Berea's Kyra Robinson was the lone Mountineer to reach double figures in kills with 11, while senior Haley Esquivel put on one final regular-season show with 13 kills to lead UPIKE which hit .255 for the match.
