PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The first matchup between the University of Pikeville women's basketball team and Georgetown (Ky.) this season was a track meet and the Tigers crossed the finish line first, winning 101-86 in January. Saturday the teams play round two at 2 p.m. ET inside the East Ky. Expo Center.
The game is being streamed live by Pike TV with updates also being posted on Twitter

UPIKE was tied with Georgetown 44-44 at halftime in January before being outscored 57-42 in the second half. Saturday the Bears will have to slow down the eighth-ranked Tigers who average just 73.8 points per game, over three points less than Pikeville.
Georgetown advanced to the second round of last year's NAIA National Championship, but in their last matchup with UPIKE that season, the Bears pulled off a 66-62 upset on the road. However, The Tigers lead the last 11 games in the series 8-3, including a 4-2 mark on the road.
The Bears are coming off an 84-74 overtime loss at Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) last Saturday, while the Tigers have lost two of their last three games, including an 85-71 setback to No. 4 Campbellsville last week.
With the Mid-South Conference Tournament less than 20 days away, each game becomes critical as only the top eight teams in the standings qualify. Georgetown is in second place with a 10-3 league record, while UPIKE is tied for sixth with Bluefield (Va.) at 5-7.
