RENO, Nev. – For the second straight season, the University of Pikeville women's bowling team is in the finals of the xBowling Intercollegiate Team Championships, only this time around it hopes to leave the event with the big trophy.

The action is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET on Friday with eighth-seeded UPIKE taking on No. 2-seed Robert Morris (Ill.) in a best-of-five Baker series. The Eagles have never won at the ITC's, while the Bears are looking for their third national title at the event.

On Thursday, UPIKE ended up playing No. 5-seed Grand View (Iowa) twice, winning 4.5 to 1.5 in the third round before meeting the Vikings again in the semifinals of the double-elimination bracket where it won 4-2.

Robert Morris' path to the final included topping No. 14-seed Sacred Heart (Conn.) 4-0 in the third round and beating No. 7-seed Lindenwood (Mo.) 4-1 in an if-necessary match after the Lions won the first match 4-2.

Pikeville is the only team left at the ITC without a loss, but it won't matter on Friday as the championship is single elimination. The only live updates available will be to follow @UPIKEAthletics on Twitter due to CBS Sports owning the rights to the championship match.

CBS Sports will be taping all of the action to be shown live on its network at 8 p.m. ET on May 20.
