CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -- Macarena Acuna scored in the second half, but the damage had already been done by unbeaten and 19th-ranked Campbellsville as it topped the University of Pikeville 3-1 on Saturday.
UPIKE (2-11, 0-5 MSC) was outshot 18-3, including a 12-1 gap in shots on goal. Acuna scored on her only shot, while Morgan Abner and Megan Stickler both got off attempts.
The Tigers (12-0, 4-0 MSC) got all three goals from Mhairi Fyfe who was assisted on just one, coming from Rachel Veatch.
Bryanna Schroers kept the Bears within striking distance with eight saves, while CU keeper Amanda Howard played all 90 minutes without a save and the one goal allowed.
In 11 games played this season, Acuna is tied with Kaitlyn Abdon for the team lead with four goals. Acuna has also taken the second most shots this season with 13, while Abdon is the clear leader with 42 attempts.
