PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- With its bench outscoring Ohio-Lancaster 64-2, the 17th-ranked University of Pikeville women's basketball team simply had too much talent and depth for the Cougars to contend with in a 112-45 win on Saturday night at the East Ky. Expo Center.

Seven players scored in double figures for the Bears, including three players off the bench. Freshman Brianna Burbridge led the team in scoring with 14 points, followed by Kandice Porter and Aundrea Matchen with 12 each. Porter's last field goa, a 3-pointer from the corner, made her the 21st player in program history to reach 1,000 points.

UPIKE (2-0) outshot Lancaster 54.5 to 30.2 percent from the field and led the game on the backboards 56-22. The Bears connected on 14 3-pointers and turned 22 Lancaster turnovers into a 32-7 scoring advantage.

Morgan Kirkbride was the only Lancaster player able to challenge the UPIKE defense, leading all scorers with 20 points.

Mia Greatrex flirted with a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing a game-best nine rebounds, while Ivvy Gulley and Rachel Lee each dished out four assists.

It took less than three minutes for the Bears to lead by double digits at 13-2 on a layup by Matchen before outscoring Lancaster (0-1) 16-2 the rest of the quarter to end it up 29-4. The lead went as high as 49 points in the first half on a jumper from Porter near halftime.

The third quarter saw the lead extend to as many as 57 points on a three from Devin Conley before going as high as 73 points with 1:40 to play on a pair of free throws by Burbridge.
