PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- Fresh off a pair of impressive wins at Cumberlands on Thursday, the University of Pikeville men's and women's basketball teams return to action at home on Saturday, hosting Life (Ga.) in the East Ky. Expo Center.

The women will start things off at 2 p.m. ET, followed by the men's tip-off at 4 p.m. Both games can be seen live on Pike TV's stream.

Life is only in its second season of women's basketball, as it added the sport after joining the Mid-South Conference in 2014. The Running Eagles are still looking for their first conference win after going 0-14 last season and currently sitting at 0-5 this season. During Life's first year in the league, UPIKE won 90-85 in Marietta and 107-73 at home last season.

The Running Eagle men have been around a little longer as this is their fourth season as a member of the Mid-South Conference. In that time, the Bears are 3-4 in the series, last losing 78-63 in the 2017 MSC Tournament championship game. In the last 11 meetings, UPIKE is 6-5 against Life, including winning both matchups during the 2016-17 season. After Life beat UPIKE in in the MSC Tournament last season, it didn't lose again until the NAIA national title game.
