PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- Winter weather just won't leave the Appalachian region, so once again the University of Pikeville baseball team will adjust as its weekend series with Shawnee State (Ohio) has been moved up a day to Thursday and Friday.

The battle of the Bears will get started with a single, nine-inning game at 2 p.m. ET on Thursday, followed by a doubleheader at Noon on Friday at Johnnie LeMaster Field.

Shawnee comes to Pikeville in search of its first Mid-South Conference win as it stands at an even 11-11 overall and 0-3 in league play. UPIKE is coming off a 2-1 series loss at Cumberland (Tenn.) which made it 15-11 overall and 1-2 in the MSC.
