Bernabue’s hat trick leads comeback against Midway

MIDWAY, Ky -- Reigning Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Eric Bernabue's second hat-trick of the season helped lead a second-half comeback against Midway, 4-2.
UPIKE (3-3) erased two deficits in the game. The first lasted just over a minute as Bernabue neutralized Midway's 1-0 lead with a 25-yard free kick into the corner of the net.
Midway (1-3) scored again in the 39th minute to take a 2-1 lead into the break.
The Bears offense came alive in the second half however, with three of their four shots beating the Eagles keeper.
Bernabue got his second goal of the match on a rebound of the one shot to not go in to even the match at 2-2. UPIKE took the lead five minutes later when
Tindur Asbjornsson earned his first goal of the season, finishing off a deflection.
The Barcelona, Spain native finished off his hat trick with a penalty kick in the 83rd minute.
