Pikeville, KY – UPIKE men's basketball claimed a lopsided victory over Campbellsville-Harrodsburg Monday evening, defeating the Pioneers 105-49 at Appalachian Wireless Arena. The game was well in end for the duration of the contest as Tigh Compton recorded his third win as a head coach.

The Bears were brilliant offensively, connecting on a season high 60% of shots from the field and splashing home 13 three pointers. UPIKE's 44 rebounds easily trumped the Pioneers who were outmatched in the paint. The Bears distributed the ball well, tallying 17 assists.

Monday night saw a stellar outing from junior Kenyon Stone notching 17 points on 5-7 shooting in his first double-digit showing of the season. Christian Sweazie tacked on another 15 points in the win, going 3-5 from beyond-the-arc. Jamir Simpson played a key role as well in his start, adding 12 points and five rebounds going a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line.

The Bears hit six threes in the first 12 minutes of the ballgame, aiding a stretch that saw them take a demanding lead from the jump. The story remained for the rest of the period as UPIKE cycled through several rotations and extended their lead to as much as 26.

One of the highlight plays of the game came at the 13:58 mark when Taevon Horton took flight for a rebound and slammed down a put-back dunk. Carl Campbell added a two on the following possession as the Bears rolled on to a 36-point lead.

By the final buzzer, the Bears had their largest advantage of the season sealing off the 56 victory.
