Pikeville, KY – UPIKE football dropped to Bethel Saturday afternoon, taking over the game midday through the second quarter and eventually sealing a 44-13 win.
Adrian Medacco led the Bears offensively with a career performance, rushing for 137 yards and a touchdown.

Lee Kirkland was under heavy pressure for much of the second half, he finished with 128 yards through the air and gave up a pair of interceptions. The Bears recorded 303 yards of total offense after leading the category in the first quarter, giving up 569 total yards to the Wildcats.
The Bears run game headed the production in the contest accumulating 175 yards, edged by Bethel who churned out 211 yards. Medacco's season best effort included a breakaway 95-yard touchdown sprint with 0:43 remaining in the first quarter that put the Bears up 7-0.
Alexander Carmichael stifled the Wildcat offense several times in a career-high 12 tackle performance. Carmichael recorded seven solo tackles, five assisted, and a pair of tackles for loss.
Jonathan Morton was standout once again and finished with 10 total tackles while
Timothy Butler was excellent in the secondary, breaking up two passes and totaling seven tackles.
Elsewhere defensively,
Cedric Thomas finished with six solo tackles, an interception and three break ups.
Ivan Sledge recorded his third sack of the season as well and finished with seven tackles.
Christopher Dublin was a highlight on special teams, totaling 108 yards in total kickoff returns including a 94 yarder where he came just short of a touchdown.
Jakob Headley was solid against the Wildcats, nailing a PAT and a pair of field goals, the longest coming in at 27 yards.
