Portsmouth, OH – UPIKE men's soccer ended the regular season Wednesday night, falling 4-0 to Shawnee State. The Bears finish with a record of 1-13 and 1-10 in conference play.
UPIKE fired five shots in the contest, with two going on frame for shots on goal. SSU managed 19 shots with 17 going on goal. Shawnee recorded a pair of goals in both the first and second half, their first coming quickly in the second minute.
Alejandro Swanton and
Favio Govea recorded all four shots in the contest, each shooting twice with both of Swanton's going on frame.
Adam Di Milo and
Gabriel Torres shared time in goal for the Bears, Torres getting the start before being relieved by Di Milo 14 minutes into the second half. Torres finished with five saves in the game while Di Milo finished with two.
The Bears will look ahead towards next season, which will be the second season under Head Coach
Shaun Schetka.
