Noblesville, IN – The University of Pikeville women's golf team finished up the 54-hole Indiana Wesleyan University Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon, where they came in fifth place. They finished with a team score of 1,005 (332, 336, 337).
Boo Newsome led the Bears with an eight-over par 224 (76, 74, 74), where she was one of just three players in the field to finish below ten-over par. She finished the tournament in third place, as her score ties her for the program record. Newsome shot a 224 last season at the Mid-South Championship and Ellen Kehoe shot a 224 in 2018-19 at the ERAU Spring Invite. Newsome has finished in the top-three in all four tournaments this season, winning two and finishing in second in one.
Sophie Beverly and
Gabriel Blankenship both cracked the top-30 with scores of 254 and 259, respectively. Beverly's best round came today as she shot an 81 and Blankenship's best round came yesterday where she carded an 83.
Emily Brown rounded out UPIKE's effort in a tie for 34th with a score of 268, with her best rounds coming in a pair of 86's.

UPIKE will conclude their fall season in Bowling Green, KY when they play in the Mid-South Conference Fall Invitational hosted at Bowling Green Country Club on October 25th and 26th.
