Bowling Green, KY – The UPIKE women's volleyball team dropped their season finale Thursday morning in the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Tournament to Cumberland University, 3-0. They hit .246 in the match, which was their third highest percentage this season.

The first two sets were tied at 16-16 and 15-15, but the Phoenix used large runs in both sets to come away with the wins. The final set saw the Bears get behind 12-3 early on and never were able to claw themselves back into it as Cumberland swept the match.

UPIKE was led by Yeryvel Catala and Hunter Clewis who had nine and seven kills, respectively. Clewis also had nine digs to lead the Bears while Cheyenne Martinez added six. Martinez led the way with 20 assists in the contest.

The Bears finish the season with a 5-26 overall record.
