Bowling Green, KY – 13 student-athletes from UPIKE baseball earned MSC Academic All-Conference, announced conference officials on Tuesday.
Based on academic status, four sophomores achieved the distinction for Coach Hamilton's unit.
Ryan Albers,
Zach Hill,
Tyler Freas, and
Samuel Torres represented the sophomore class, earning their first MSC academic honor.
Austin Wetherington,
Roy'ce Brittentime,
Ty Crall, and
Noah Helton represented the academic junior class, with Wetherington taking his second career academic award.
Five seniors and graduate seniors made the list including
Kevin Justice,
Luke Layhew, John McKenzie,
Jackson Porter, and
Brady Schmidt. The award is the second consecutive for Justice while Porter nabs the academic award for the third straight year.
Austin Wetherington was named UPIKE's Champions of Character Team representative.
To be considered for Mid-South Conference Academic awards a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 GPA or higher and be at least a sophomore. A total of 38 women's golfer from across the MSC claimed the award this year.
