Pikeville, KY – UPIKE football recently announced the coaching staff for the 2021 season which includes four offensive specialists. The offensive decision makers consist of three assistant coaches and a graduate assistant.

Devario Dorsey – Run Game Coordinator / Offensive Line Coach

From Corinth, MS, Devario Dorsey brings an extensive 10-year coaching resume and a successful collegiate playing career.
Dorsey only played one season of high school football, making good on the opportunity and earning himself a scholarship to play at East Mississippi Community College where he spent a season. Dorsey then went on to play at West Texas A&M University where he would earn his bachelor's degree. His collegiate career featured all-conference selections in Mississippi JUCO league, Lone Star Conference a Mississippi JUCO All-Star Game selection, and NCAA DII's Cactus Bowl. In 2005, Dorsey was named Boys & Girls Club of America's Member of the Year.

From 2009-2011 Dorsey served as a graduate assistant coach for running backs at West Texas A&M before moving on to Southern Arkansas where he coached for two seasons and earned a master's degree. Ahead of the 2013 he was named the offensive line coach at NJCAA Mississippi Delta before becoming the OL coach at Coahoma Community College in 2014 where he served two seasons.

In 2016, Dorsey was named the Running Backs and Tight Ends Coach at NCAA DIII East Texas Baptist and spent two seasons with the Tigers, serving as the OL coach in 2017. Dorsey then went on to his most recent stop, spending three seasons heading the offensive lineman at Kentucky Christian University.

Caesar Aguila – Wide Receivers

Caesar Aguila comes to UPIKE from Kentucky Christian University where he coached wide receivers for two seasons. Aguila has a coaching background that includes stints at Jackson State University and his alma-mater, Bellhaven University.

Born in East Los Angeles as the youngest of six siblings and was interested in athletics from the very beginning, playing basketball, volleyball, soccer, and later took a heavy interest in football. Aguila began his collegiate playing career at East Los Angeles College where he achieved all-conference honors and was a scholar-athlete. While at ELAC, Aguila aided his team to the 2012 American Bowl Championship as the starting left guard. Aguila later transferred to NCAA DIII Bellhaven where he played football and earned a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies / Psychology in 2015.

Aguila went on to serve as a graduate assistant at Bellhaven and while with the Blazers, earned his Master's degree in Sports Administration and eventually elevated himself to Tight-Ends Coach. Following Bellhaven, Aguila became the receivers coach at Jackson State before going to KCU.

Peyton Franklin – Strength and Conditioning / Tight Ends

Peyton Franklin begins his fourth year as a strength and conditioning coach, coming from University of Central Missouri where he worked with the wrestling, track and field, baseball, and football teams.

From Raytown, Missouri, Franklin had a Catholic upbringing as the second of six siblings and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing several sports throughout high school. After high school, Franklin went off to Northwest Missouri State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. He later went on to earn a master's in Sports Management from the University of Central Missouri.

While coaching at UCM as a graduate assistant, Franklin trained the school's fourth place indoor and fourth place outdoor women's track and field team. His coaching aided the Mule's baseball team in their National Championship runner-up performance in 2021 and with the football teams 2019 conference title.  

Franklin is an accomplished powerlifter and has competed in the 181, 198, and 220 pound weight classes, with a best total of 1500 pounds.

Jamar Kirksey – Running Backs Graduate Assistant
Jamar Kirksey is entering his second season as a graduate assistant for UPIKE football, and his sixth total year with the program. Kirksey led a successful playing career for the Bears, playing from 2013-2016 and earned First-Team All-MSC honors, four MSC Player of the Week honors, and was a part of the 2016 MSC Bluegrass East Division Co-Championship team.

Kirksey first entered college playing for Dupage before transferring to the University of Pikeville. Kirksey comes from a family of five brothers and sisters and is originally from Louisville, KY.
