Pikeville, KY – Sophomore UPIKE kicker Jakob Headley has been named MSC Bluegrass Special Teams Player of the Week, announced conference officials on Monday.

In Saturday's season opening win over the Bluefield Rams, the Bears offense kept Headley busy scoring seven touchdowns in total. The Johnson Central High School product nailed each PAT and added a 25-yard field goal in the fourth quarter that put the Bears up 45-20.

The seven extra points legged by Headley is a career high, topping his highest from the previous season which was five.

Headley and the Bears are back at Hambley this weekend for a 4PM kickoff against Webber International.
