Slow Start Dooms Bears In Road Loss To #9 Georgetown

Georgetown, Ky. - The University of Pikeville Bears hit the road to take on the #9 Georgetown College Tigers and were defeated 88-72.

The Bears played much better in the second, led by Teddy Parham with 26 points in the final 20 minutes. UPIKE cut the GC lead to 13 with 3:17 to go after Parham finished off a three-point play after an and-one. Despite shooting 59% from the field, 58% from beyond the arc and outscoring Georgetown 52-35 in the second half, the Bears were unable to overcome the halftime deficit and lost 88-72.
