Englert, Stamper, and Feltner Claim All-MSC Honors

Bowling Green, KY – On Thursday afternoon, the Mid-South Conference announced the women's basketball All-Conference teams as well as individual awards. The Bears had three players honored. Morgan Stamper and Mary Englert were named MSC First Team while Sierra Feltner was named MSC Honorable Mention.

This is Stamper's first time in her UPIKE career being named All-Conference. She was named MSC Player of the Week a program-record four times throughout the season. She has compiled an impressive 19 double-doubles this season, with 18 coming during the regular season. Her 22-rebound performance in November at Midway is the most rebounds for an MSC player since 2015 and most for UPIKE since 2009. She averages 13.4 points per game and 12.2 rebounds per game. She is tied for fifth in the NAIA in rebounds per game and second in the country in total rebounds with 367. She leads the NAIA with 6.5 offensive rebounds per game and 196 total offensive rebounds. Stamper has also scored 402 points, dished out 48 assists, has 24 steals, and blocked 13 shots.

This is Englert's third time being honored on an All-Conference team and first time being named to the First Team. She was also named MSC Freshman of the Year in 2018-19. She came into the season 90 points away from 1,000 and passed that mark on Nov. 27 against Talladega College. Englert now has 1,348 points in her UPIKE career. She has scored 438 points this season to lead the team and sits fourth in the conference in total points. Her 14.6 points per game are good for a tie for fifth in the MSC. She has five double-doubles this season and leads the team with 92 assists and 36 steals. Englert has also grabbed 193 rebounds and blocked 12 shots.

Feltner was named an Honorable Mention for the second straight season. She was named MSC Player of the Week earlier this month on Feb. 14 for the first time in her career. During that week, she scored a career-high 23 before following it up with 13- and 17-point outings. Feltner is averaging 10 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game and has done a little bit of everything for the Bears this year. She is in the top five on the team in points (fourth), rebounds (fifth), assists (second), steals (second), and blocks (fourth).

After winning their opening round game against Shawnee State on Monday night in the UPIKE Gym, the Bears will be back in action tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. ET in the MSC Tournament Quarterfinals. They face the No. 3 seed University of the Cumberlands, who they have beaten twice already this season in a pair of close matchups.

Tickets to attend the Bears quarterfinal game in the 2022 MSC Championship must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $12.00 and can be purchased here.
