Bowling Green, KY – For the fifth time this season, Boo Newsome has earned Mid-South Conference Women's Golfer of the Week status. This is her eighth time being honored in her career.

Newsome picked up her second win in a row last week at the Midway Eagle Invitational hosted by Midway University. She shot 75 on day one and was tied for third place. On day two, she shot an even par 72 to beat Alayna Perryman of Milligan University by two strokes and earn her fourth win of the season and 16th of her career. Her score of 147 is good for fourth in program history in a 36-hole tournament. She carded six birdies during the tournament.

The Bears are currently in action today and tomorrow at the MSC Spring Showcase hosted by Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain Golf Course in Crossville, Tennessee.
