Bowling Green, KY – The Mid-South Conference announced the 2022 All-Conference Teams yesterday afternoon and a pair of Bears were honored in Boo Newsome and Sophie Beverly. Newsome was named to the First Team for the fourth time in her career and Beverly was named Second Team for her first career honor.

Newsome has four wins this season to give her 16 in her UPIKE career. She has finished in the top-three in all but one tournament she has competed in this season. She has also been named Mid-South Conference Player of the Week a conference best five times this season.

Coming into this week's Mid-South Conference Championship Tournament, Boo has an adjusted scoring average of 75.82. She shot a career best round of 68 in the first tournament of the season held at StoneCrest Golf Course, which is the second-best round in program history. She shot a 142 at the same tournament, which is also second in program history over 36 holes. Her 224 at the Indiana Wesleyan University Fall Invitational tied her for the best 54-hole score in program history.

Beverly has had a great freshman campaign for the Bears. She has five top-15 finishes, including a 14th place finish at the Mid-South Conference Spring Classic a few weeks ago. She also has a pair of top-three finishes, including a runner-up to Boo in the ALC Spring Invite in Richmond, KY.
