Pikeville, Ky. - Coach Tigh Compton's UPIKE Bears were chosen as one of the 64 teams for the 2023 NAIA Men's Basketball Tournament. 

The Bears were selected as the #13 seed in the Naismith Quadrant and will play (4) Huntington University (Ind.). The game will take place at 2:00 p.m. EST on March 7th in Alexandria, La. If the Bears advance past the first round, their second round opponent will be the winner of (5) LSU Shreveport (La.) and (12) Thomas (Ga.).  

It is the Bears' first NAIA Tournament appearance in the Tigh Compton era and their first as a program since the 2018-19 season.
