Pikeville, Ky. - The Bears extended their win streak to five after sweeping today's double header with Wilberforce.

Game 1 - UPIKE 12, Wilberforce 3
Jairemy Pulido got the ball in game one and pitched 3.2 innings. Pulido allowed three runs on seven hits and sat two Bulldogs down on strikes. Junior pitcher Ty Crall got the win on the hill after throwing 3.1 innings of scoreless relief.
Ryan Sartin, Kyle Williams, Tyler Maynard and Noah Helton all had multiple hits in game one. Noah Helton highlighted the Bears' big game at the dish with two home runs and seven RBIs. Game one against the Bulldogs' was Helton's third multi-home run game this season.Â
UPIKE scored 12 runs on 13 hits and took game one by a final count of 12-3.Â

Game 2 - UPIKE 15, Wilberforce 5
Freshman right hander Kameron Brodeur pitched 6.0 innings, giving up five runs (two earned) on eight hits. Ethan Cernohous notched his sixth scoreless appearance in his last seven appearances and finished off UPIKE's run-rule of Wilberforce.Â
The Bears had another big game at the plate, scoring 15 runs on 13 hits. UPIKE has now scored double-digit runs in four consecutive games. Slugger Noah Helton homered for the eleventh time this season, tying the single-season home run record. Helton added four more RBIs.Â
Just like they did in game one, Noah Helton, Ryan Sartin, Kyle Williams, and Tyler Maynard all recorded multi-hit games. Freshman Tate Walters belted his first collegiate home run and tacked on a pair of RBIs today.Â
UPIKE clinched the series victory with today's wins over Wilberforce. First pitch for Friday's series finale is set for 11:00 AM.
