Bowling Green, Ky. – The Mid-South Conference released their 2022-23 MSC Women's Golf Academic All-Conference honorees. The Champions of Character Team was announced as well. 

To be nominated by their institution for MSC Academic All-Conference, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale and must be in their third term or fourth quarter. The 2022-23 Academic All-Conference honorees for the University of Pikeville women's golf are Emily Bechtel, Sophie Beverly, Gabrielle Blankenship, Emily Brown, Darby Chapman, Mallory Davis, Terrie Lawson and Skylar Thompson. It is the second MSC Academic All-Conference nod for Blankenship, Brown, Chapman and Davis. First time honorees include Bechtel, Beverly, Lawson and Thompson. 

Those chosen for the MSC Champions of Character Team are nominated by their coaches for their leadership on campus and in their community while demonstrating the five core values embraced by their NAIA. Representing the University of Pikeville on this year's MSC Women's Golf Champions of Character Team is Emily Brown. 

Coach Nelson Scott's team had the most Academic All-Conference bids of any teams in the conference. The Bears are currently competing at the 2023 MSC Championship in Bowling Green, Ky.
