PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Four players reached double figures on Wednesday night as the University of Pikeville knocked off Kentucky Christian University 82-68.
UPike improved to 11-1 on the season and 5-1 in the AAC, while the Knights slipped to 1-8 overall, 1-4 in the league.
The Bears built a 20-point lead at the half, 44-24. It swelled to 25 (67-42) with 8:33 left, but sophomore guard Rheyce DeBoard got white hot for the Knights.
At one point he'd hit his first eight three-point shots, all in the second half. He had two points at the half, but led all scorers with 27 points.
UPike, which shot 51.7 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from the arc, got 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists from junior
Bradley Bunch. Junior
Keynan Cutlip followed with 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

LA Walker finished with 14 points and four rebounds, while junior guard
Keian Worrix had 12 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
DeBoard was joined in double figures by point guard Jayden Loydd, who had 20 points, seven assists, four rebounds and two steals.
UPike will return to action on Saturday afternoon when it makes its first appearance of the season at the Appalachian Wireless Arena. Truett McConnell (Ga.) will be the foe, and the game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. opening tip.
